A2Gold (AUAU.V) completed 15 reverse-circulation (RC) drill holes totaling 4,400 meters at the Taylor project in Nevada, the company said on Tuesday.
Samples from the drill program have been submitted for laboratory analysis, with assay results pending, a statement said.
The program is A2Gold's first drill campaign at Taylor since acquiring the project earlier this year. It tested priority targets that were identified through historical drilling, geological information and geophysical data.
The drill rig is now being mobilized to A2Gold's Eastside Project, also in Nevada, where drilling at Target Pente is expected to start shortly.
The program will consist of 3,700 meters of RC drilling.
A2Gold shares were last seen down CA$0.04 at CA$0.72 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
