-- UAE air defenses intercepted three of four Iranian cruise missiles, with one falling into the sea, the Ministry of Defense said Monday in a post on X.
The Ministry said its air defense systems are actively engaging incoming missile and unmanned aerial vehicle threats from Iran.
"Four cruise missiles launched from Iran were detected toward various areas across the country. Three were successfully engaged over the country's territorial waters, while one fell in the sea," the Ministry posted on X.
The Ministry said air defense systems engaging aerial threats caused the sounds heard across different parts of the country.
The Ministry urged residents to follow official sources for information and comply with safety instructions issued during alerts, it said.
