The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 1.7% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 eased 0.2%, the S&P 500 declined 0.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.6%.
Bitcoin dropped 1.6% to $80,119, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 16% to $37.3 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 2.2% to $2,295.
XRP (XRP-USD) fell 2.6%, BNB (BNB-USD) declined 1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) shed 0.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 4.1%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) lost 1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.392% at 3 p.m. ET Thursday, up from 4.354% Wednesday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.043% from 4.001%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 1.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.66 trillion, with trading volume declining 1.6% to $161.9 billion.
