-- Redbook US same-store sales rose by 7.7% from a year earlier in the week ended April 25 after a 6.7% year-over-year increase in the previous week, with sales benefitting from an extra selling day this year compared with last year due to the timing of Easter.
"As warmer weather arrives, early increases are evident in sales of lawn and garden products as well as spring apparel," Redbook noted. However, weather event such as severe storms and tornadoes disrupted business in affected areas, Redbook said.
Through the third selling week for April, sales were up 7.1% compared with April 2025, slightly lower than the target for a 7.2% gain, Redbook said.
