Mafatlal Industries CEO to Retire; MD Takes Over Additional CEO Role

-- Mafatlal Industries' (BOM:500264) Chief Executive Officer M.B. Raghunath will retire on May 31, on attaining the age of 60, after over three decades with the company, according to a Tuesday filing on BSE.

Shares of the company fell 1% in Wednesday's trade.

He will continue to support the company in strategy and project-related work post-retirement, the filing said.

The company has appointed Priyavrata H. Mafatlal as chief executive officer, on top of his role as managing director for a three-year term starting June 1, according to the filing.

Mafatlal's appointment is subject to shareholder approval, the company said.

シンガポール株は小幅上昇、MeGroupは9％上昇

シンガポール株式市場は水曜日、米国とイランの和平合意への期待感から投資家心理が改善し、小幅高で取引を終えた。 ストレーツ・タイムズ指数は終日4,915.13～4,935.68のレンジで推移し、終値は4,927.38とほぼプラス圏で引けた。 企業関連では、MeGroup（SGX:SJY）の株価が9%上昇した。これは、子会社のMenang Nusantaraがマレーシアの商業施設2棟を1,400万リンギットで取得することで合意したことを受けたもの。 Ley Choon（SGX:Q0X）の株価は5%近く上昇した。これは、子会社のLey Choon Constructions and Engineeringが3,560万シンガポールドル相当の地下埋設物工事契約を獲得したことを受けたもの。 一方、センチュリオン・アコモデーションREIT（SGX:8C8U）は、第1四半期の純不動産収入が予想の3,660万シンガポールドルを上回り、3,750万シンガポールドルに達したことから、株価が2%上昇した。
