-- Energia Argentina awarded one LNG cargo to Naturgy after an April 15 tender to support supply ahead of expected demand swings, the company said Thursday.
Energia chose Naturgy Aprovisionamientos to supply the cargo through an international tender, it said.
The shipment will replenish inventory at the floating storage and regasification unit at the Escobar Terminal, with arrival expected in the second week of May.
The added supply will allow the system to inject regasified gas during spikes in residential demand driven by colder weather or disruptions in natural gas transport, the company added.
Energia invited 39 prequalified companies to participate in the tender, with six firms submitting bids in the latest process, it said.
The company runs the tender under ISO 9001 standards certified by IRAM, with oversight from a public notary and internal audit controls, according to the company.
