-- Discovery Silver Corp.'s (DSV.TO) Porcupine operations produced 60,269 ounces of gold in the first quarter of 2026, the company said overnight Wednesday, while adding it "remains on track" for total gold production in 2026 of 260,000 to 300,000 ounces.
Quarterly gold production in 2026 is expected to increase as the year progresses reflecting the ramp up of mill throughput and production at the Hollinger open pit, as well as the favourable impact of investments to optimize the company's current mining operations, DSV said in the overnight statement.
Meanwhile, "excellent" drill results confirm growth potential at Porcupine, DSV said in a separate statement Thursday. The company reported results from ongoing exploration at its Porcupine Operations, including Hoyle Pond Mine, Borden Mine and Pamour Mine, as well as at the Dome and TVZ advanced stage growth projects and regional exploration targets.
Results include assays from a combined total of 143 holes (44,740 m), completed between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, DSV added in Thursday's statement.
Shares in DSV rose 4.1% or $0.40 to $10.13 in Canada yesterday.
