The pharmaceutical group's earnings per share increased to 70.13 yen from 59.08 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Revenue grew 12% to 321.7 billion yen for the three months ended March 31 from 288.5 billion yen in the prior year.
For the full year ending Dec. 31, the company expects core net income of 485 billion yen, core EPS of 295 yen, and revenue of 1.345 trillion yen.
