-- LG AI Research Institute and Vanderbilt University Medical Center unveiled the research results of their jointly developed technology, Cancer Agentic AI, at the American Association for Cancer Research 2026, LG Corp. (KRX:003550) said in a press release on Tuesday.
The technology uses pathology-specialized AI to predict cancer gene activity within tissue samples in under a minute, the release said.
The system is designed to streamline the cancer treatment workflow -- from tissue analysis to treatment planning -- within a single day. It aims to reduce unnecessary tests and identify patients eligible for targeted therapies at an early stage.
Shares of LG Corp. rose nearly 2% at market close.
