-- Cosmos Health (COSM) said Friday it will launch its Cur18 curcumin supplement in the US market during Q2.
The supplement is designed to overcome "poor bioavailability," a common issue with conventional curcumin formulations that do not dissolve easily in the digestive system, the healthcare company said.
Cur18 uses a whole-spectrum extract that offers 39 times higher bioavailability than standard 95% curcuminoid extracts, based on a pharmacokinetic study, the company said.
The study also showed that the formulation achieves 49.5 times higher total curcumin exposure, while separate clinical data showed meaningful improvements in knee pain for osteoarthritis patients, the company added.
