Spartan Metals Reports Silver-Antimony-Copper Assays from Past-Producing Antelope Mine
Spartan Metals (W.V) released assay results from sampling at the past-producing Antelope Mine at the Eagle Project in Nevada.Surface rock sampling returned silver grades above 1,000 grams per tonne, including 1,927 g/t; antimony grades above 0.2%, including 0.67%; and copper grades above 1%, including 1.83%, the company said Thursday. The backpack core drill sample returned 688 g/t silver over 0.3 meters, with 0.67% copper, 1,336 parts per million arsenic and 0.3% antimony. The surface sampling results defined an area of about 1.3 kilometers by 0.6 km, larger than the existing mine extent."The presence of silver, antimony, and copper across such a broad area highlights the opportunity for a larger mineralized system than previously recognized at Antelope," said Chief Executive Brett Marsh in a statement.
