Verite's August Sales Drop 1.5% on Weaker Traffic, Spending
Verite's (TYO:9904) August total sales fell 1.5% year over year, according to a Monday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.Footfall ticked down 0.4%, while average spending per customer dropped 1.1%.At existing stores, sales fell 2.8%, with footfall down 2.3% and spending per customer ticking down 0.5%.The company operated 111 stores at end-March, up by seven from a year earlier.
