Shikoku Electric Power's Unit Secures METI Approval for Wheeling Charge Revision
Shikoku Electric Power's (TYO:9507) subsidiary, Yonden T&D, received Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) approval for its revenue projection adjustment related to wheeling charges.The approval follows a July 10 application aimed at reflecting rising prices, labor costs, and interest rates, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.The utility group said Yonden T&D will now file a revised notification to apply new wheeling charges - fees paid to use the power transmission and distribution network - starting November.The approval is intended to maintain construction capabilities and supply chains essential for stable power supply.The company is currently assessing the specific financial impact on consolidated results, pending further deliberations on retail electricity tariff adjustments.
