Nippon Express Profit Jumps 187% in Fiscal H1
Nippon Express' (TYO:9147) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 186.8% to 24.3 billion yen for the first half, from 8.5 billion yen a year earlier.The logistics company's basic earnings per share rose to 100.42 yen from 33.21 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.Revenue increased 6.7% to 1.357 trillion yen for the six months ended June 30, from 1.272 trillion yen.The company declared a second quarter dividend of 50 yen per share.For the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, the company now anticipates attributable profit of 70 billion yen from 60 billion yen initially, EPS of 289.50 yen from 247.04 yen, and revenue of 2.750 trillion yen from 2.700 trillion yen.Nippon Express expects to pay year-end dividend of 50.00 yen per share.
