Sankyo Unit to Acquire Data Art's Pachinko, Pachislot Software Business in 1.93 Billion-Yen Deal
Sankyo (TYO:6417) said its unit, SAN ART Co., signed a 1.93 billion yen business transfer deal to acquire Data Art's pachinko and pachislot software business, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.The all-cash deal includes the acquisition of planning and production of effect control software and video content, as well as the development and design of pachinko and pachislot machine components.The transaction will strengthen Sankyo's development capabilities, shorten development lead times, and reduce costs.
