Amada Profit Rises 101% in Fiscal Q1
Amada (TYO:6113) posted a 101% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 5.47 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 2.72 billion yen.The machinery manufacturer's basic earnings per share increased to 17.63 yen from 8.47 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Monday.Revenues climbed about 30% to 100.2 billion yen from 77.3 billion yen in the year-ago period.For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 34 billion yen, basic EPS of 109.56 yen, and revenue of 460 billion yen.The company plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 32 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
