Weathernews' Profit Climbs 22% in Fiscal Year 2025
Weathernews' (TYO:4825) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 22% to 3.81 billion yen for the fiscal year 2025 from 3.12 billion yen a year earlier.The private weather information company's earnings per share increased to 85.69 yen from 70.23 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.Net sales rose 4.1% to 24.5 billion yen for the year ended May 31 from 23.5 billion yen in the prior year.It declared a final dividend of 62.50 yen per share, payable from Aug. 5.For the fiscal year ending May 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 3.85 billion yen, basic EPS of 85.78 yen, and net sales of 25.8 billion yen.Weathernews plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 25 yen per share, each, for the current year, which is lower than the amount paid in the year-ago period.
