Yakult Honsha Profit Rises 17% in Fiscal Q1
Yakult Honsha (TYO:2267) posted a 17.2% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 13.6 billion yen for the first quarter ended June 30 from 11.6 billion yen.The Japan-based dairy products manufacturer's basic earnings per share increased to 46.99 yen from 39.36 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.Net sales increased 3.3% to 120.5 billion yen from 116.6 billion yen in the year-ago period.For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 46.50 billion yen, EPS of 174.21 yen, and net sales of 527 billion yen.The company plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 36 yen per share for the current fiscal year.Shares of the company dropped nearly 6% in recent trade.
