Taiwan Sakura Clarifies Report About NT$1 Billion Investment in Smart Manufacturing Facility
Taiwan Sakura (TPE:9911) clarified a media report that it plans to invest NT$1.03 billion in a smart manufacturing facility in Taichung, saying the reported project refers to the ongoing demolition and reconstruction of its Wuri North factory.The consumer electronics company's board approved the NT$638.8 million reconstruction contract in May 2025, with the contract signed in January 2026, according to a Monday Taiwan Exchange filing.Taiwan Sakura said additional investments in production lines and other capital expenditures remain under planning and will be announced when implemented.
