Nidec Chaun-Choung Flags Potential Data Breach After Ransomware Attack
Nidec Chaun-Choung Technology (TPE:6230) did not entirely rule out a potential data breach following a ransomware attack on some of its servers on June 22, according to a Tuesday filing with the Taiwan Exchange.The thermal module maker said the attack impacted its ERP system, with a screenshot of certain folders and files published on the dark web by a third party claiming responsibility.The company said it collaborated with an agency to conduct a digital forensic investigation. To date, it has found no evidence of information leakage.
