Jochu Technology's China, Vietnam Units Hit By Cyberattack
Jochu Technology (TPE:3543) said unidentified hackers gained unauthorized access to certain information systems at the company and its major units in China and Vietnam, causing a temporary system downtime.The company said it activated its cybersecurity response procedures and hired external experts to investigate the incident and restore affected systems, according to a Wednesday Taiwan Exchange filing.Jochu Technology said a preliminary assessment found the cyberattack had no material impact on its operations. It added that it will strengthen cybersecurity controls to avoid such incidents in the future.
