E. Sun Financial to Acquire Mercuries Life Insurance Agent for NT$75 Million
E. Sun Financial (TPE:2884) board approved the acquisition of 100% of Mercuries Life Insurance Agent for about NT$75 million in cash, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.Shares slid about 2% in Wednesday's afternoon trade.Under te deal, the company will buy 1 million shares at roughly NT$75 per share from Mercuries & Associates.The acquisition will strengthen the group's insurance agency business and financial services integration.The deal completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions, the financial group said.
