China Steel Books Pre-Tax Profit of NT$1.35 Billion in May

China Steel (TPE:2002) booked preliminary consolidated profit before income tax of about NT$1.35 billion for May, according to a Monday Taiwan Exchange filing.The company also posted consolidated operating revenue of roughly NT$30 billion for the month.The company did not disclose comparative figures and noted that the numbers are preliminary.

China Steel Corp (TPE:2002) posted a net loss attributable to owners of NT$2.45 billion for the first quarter, or NT$0.16 per basic share.The Taiwanese steel company, which also reported operating revenue of NT$79.2 billion, did not provide year-ago comparative figures in the Friday disclosure on the Taiwan Exchange.
