Y.C.C Parts Manufacturing Fined for Violating Environmental Laws
Y.C.C Parts Manufacturing (TPE:1339) was imposed with a fine of NT$960,000 by the Changhua County Environmental Protection Bureau for violating Taiwan's Air Pollution Control Act, according to a Thursday filing with the Taiwan Exchange.The fine stems from its plastic-product electroplating systems which utilized acid solutions without the company securing a stationary pollution source operating permit.The automotive parts maker says it is required to suspend its electroplating and chromium-plating process upon receipt of the notice.The company will also be required to obtain the operating permit by Nov. 10 and needs to apply to the environmental authority for inspection before resuming operations.
