TOP Ships Reports Sale of Product Tanker Newbuilding
TOP Ships (TOPS) said Wednesday it has struck a deal with Rubico to sell 100% of its shares in a special purpose vehicle which is a counterparty to a ship building contract with Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited.The contract is for a very-high specification 47,499 dwt Medium Range product/chemical oil tanker for delivery during 2029, the company said.The selling price is about $6.25 million, payable in full at closing, TOP said. It expects to close the deal by the end of September.
