Standard Nuclear Well Positioned in Growing TRISO Fuel Market, RBC Says

Standard Nuclear (STDN) is well positioned in the growing tristructural isotropic, or TRISO, fuel market, supported by government-backed projects and a strong backlog, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Monday. The analysts said that the company's near-term outlook is supported by a $65 million funded backlog, which is expected to secure 2026-2027 revenue. The company also has an estimated $500 million pipeline of additional opportunities that could convert to revenue in 2028-2029.These opportunities include US Department of Energy pilot programs and Nuclear Regulatory Commission demonstration reactor projects, they added. The analysts said nuclear energy has strong bipartisan support, and private-sector interest is also growing, particularly among data center companies."Ultimately, we believe the [total addressable market] from public and private industry could approach $4 billion plus, though could scale much slower than industry forecasts given supply-chain bottlenecks along the way," the analysts saidRBC initiated the company with an outperform, speculative risk rating and an $11 price target.Price: $10.33, Change: $+1.89, Percent Change: +22.38%

Standard Nuclear's Early Positioning Supports TRISO Fuel Opportunity, BofA Says

Standard Nuclear's (STDN) early positioning, manufacturing capabilities, and increasing commercial traction support meaningful participation in the tri-structural isotropic, or TRISO, fuel ecosystem, BofA Securities analysts said in a Monday note.BofA said that the company's total addressable market is linked to TRISO-compatible reactor designs, a smaller but critical subset of advanced nuclear deployment.Analysts said the company has the potential to participate in multiple TRISO-compatible reactor programs, creating exposure to several deployment pathways for advanced nuclear fuel while avoiding direct reactor-development risk.BofA said that near-term TRISO demand will likely be supported by microreactor, test-reactor, and demonstration deployments.BofA initiated coverage on the stock with a buy rating and a $15 price target.Price: $10.35, Change: $+1.91, Percent Change: +22.63%
