Yangling Metron New Material (SHE:300861) is investing 300 million yuan to acquire a 5.729% stake in power chip designer and manufacturer Longteng Semiconductor.The advanced materials manufacturer's investment is purely financial and based on the assessment of long-term development trends in the semiconductor industry, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Shares of Yangling Metron New Material closed 1% lower Wednesday.
