Sinocare (SHE:300298) subsidiary Trividia Health is recalling TRUE METRIX series blood glucose monitoring systems following a U.S. Food and Drug urgent medical device correction.The issue involves an E-5 error code that displays for both extremely high blood glucose and test strip errors, potentially delaying treatment for severe hyperglycemia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Trividia has updated labeling and is offering free TRUENESS replacement systems to users.Sinocare has preliminarily accrued $9.7 million for recall costs.Shares of the medical device manufacturer closed 1% lower Wednesday.
