Center Power Tech Denies AI Hype, Tech Giant Ties
Shenzhen Center Power Tech (SHE:002733) dismissed online rumors that falsely positioned the company as a "core supplier" of artificial intelligence computing infrastructure and claimed ties to Nvidia, Microsoft and Huawei.The company said it has no cooperation with any of those tech giants and does not engage in AI chips, servers or computing platforms, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.The manufacturer of valve-regulated lead acid batteries urged investors to ignore unverified rumors.Shares of Shenzhen Center Power Tech closed 2% higher Thursday.
