Berun Chemical Starts Trial Production at Carbon Recovery Project; Shares Down 3%
Inner Mongolia Berun Chemical (SHE:000683) started trial production at a 1.2 million-ton-per-year sodium bicarbonate carbon recovery project.The facility captures carbon dioxide and alkali mother liquor from the Alxa Tamusu natural alkali project, using wind and solar power.The second phase soda ash capacity of 2.8 million tons has reached design levels, while the second phase sodium bicarbonate capacity of 400,000 tons has begun trial runs.Shares of the alkali chemical manufacturer were down 3% in recent trade.
