Minmetals New Energy Materials (Hunan) Wins Contract Dispute Case Against Lithium Company
Minmetals New Energy Materials (Hunan) (SHA:688779) subsidiaries Hunan Changyuan Lithium New Energy and Jinchi Energy Materials won a final appeal, or a second instance judgment, on a contract dispute, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.The Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court dismissed an appeal by Zhicun Lithium Industry Group, Jiangxi Jinhui Lithium Industry, and Yichun Tianzhuo New Materials over a case filed by Minmetals for Zhicun's alleged failure to deliver goods under its lithium carbonate procurement contract.The court ordered the appellants to pay about 180.6 million yuan in damages, including an advanced payment of 118.6 million yuan, the filing said.
