QES, Ray Tech to Cooperate on ASEAN Distribution, X-Ray Inspection Technology Development ; Shares Drop 4%
QES Group (KLSE:QES) unit QES Mechatronic signed a memorandum of understanding with Unicomp Technology's (SHA:688531) unit Ray Tech Singapore, to explore cooperation in semiconductor inspection equipment, according to a Friday Malaysian bourse filing.QES' shares fell about 4% in Monday's midday trade.The collaboration covers ASEAN distribution, manufacturing optimisation for inspection systems, and the use of Unicomp's global demonstration centres to support market development and technology showcasing.Both parties will also explore next-generation X-ray inspection technologies, with intellectual property arrangements, along with a joint coordination mechanism to monitor progress.The arrangement is non-binding and has a three-year term, it said.
