Bank of Chengdu's Q1 Profit Rises 5%; Shares Up 3%
Bank of Chengdu's (SHA:601838) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first quarter rose 4.8% to 3.16 billion yuan from 3.01 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Thursday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.Earnings per share increased 4.2% year on year to 0.74 yuan from 0.71 yuan.Operating revenue jumped 6.5% to 6.20 billion yuan from 5.82 billion yuan in the prior year.The lender's shares jumped less than 3% during the afternoon trade.
