Beijing North Star's Loss Narrows in Q1; Hong Kong Shares Up 8%
Beijing North Star (HKG:0588, SHA:601588) posted a net loss attributable to owners of 150.9 million yuan for the first quarter, narrowing from a loss of 294.9 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.Hong Kong-listed shares of the developer were up nearly 8% in Thursday's midday trade.Loss per share came in at 0.04 yuan from 0.09 yuan a year earlier.Operating revenue rose 7.3% to 1.28 billion yuan from 1.20 billion yuan in the prior-year period.
