Penguin International Bags Landing Craft Contract from Singapore Ministry of Defense; Shares Zoom 10%
Penguin International (SGX:BTM) secured a turnkey contract by the Singapore Ministry of Defense for the design, engineering and construction of two landing craft for the Republic of Singapore Navy, according to a Tuesday bourse filing.The vessel builder and operator said the project will be executed at its shipyard and is its first naval shipbuilding program as a prime contractor.Shares of the company surged nearly 10% in Wednesday trading.
