Qassim Cement Flags Higher Costs From Saudi Aramco Fuel Price Adjustment
Qassim Cement (SASE:3040) said Thursday that the fuel price adjustments by Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (SASE:2222), d/b/a Saudi Aramco, are estimated to increase the total costs of operations of its Qassim and Hail plants by 3%.The cost hike took effect from Jan. 1, the cement company said, adding that its participation in the Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program helped mitigate the financial impact and improve energy consumption efficiency.
