Pelangio Exploration Adds John Clarke to Its Board of Directors
Pelangio Exploration (PX.V) on Wednesday said it is adding John Clarke to its board of directors.Clarke has held "progressively senior roles" in plant operations, mine management, strategic planning, corporate services and project development, at Ashanti Goldfields, the company said.Clarke has also served as chief executive officer of Nevsun Resources and subsequently as vice chairman and non-executive director. He has also served as chief executive for Banro Corporation, added Pelangio.Clarke will succeed David Mosher on the board, who will continue as a member of the advisory committee, the company said."John Clarke brings substantial Ghana operating and corporate development experience, including mine-level responsibilities at Obuasi, strategic planning and business development leadership at Ashanti Goldfields, and direct involvement in building one of the broader African gold exploration portfolios of its time," said Chief Executive Officer Ingrid Hibbard.
