Powermax Minerals Starts 2026 Exploration Work at BC Rare Earth Element Project
Powermax Minerals (PMAX.CN) started a three-week exploration program at the Cameron Rare Earth Element project, located near Revelstoke, British Columbia, it said in a statement on Monday.The company has planned geological mapping and prospecting over priority REE target areas, ground radiometric surveys and the integration of geological, geochemical and radiometric datasets into a target ranking model, it said.Producing REEs, used in permanent magnets for products ranging from cellphones to aircraft, involves complex separation and refining, according to Natural Resources Canada.Shares of Powermax closed down 5.3% at C$0.18 on Friday on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
