PowerBank Enters Ontario Battery Storage Development Deal
PowerBank Corporation (PBK) has entered into a fee-for-service development agreement to support battery energy storage projects in Ontario, the company said on Monday.It will provide services to advance a project proposal for submission under the Independent Electricity System Operator Second Long-Term procurement request for proposals.If a contract is awarded under the LT2(c-2) program, PowerBank will guide the project to the notice-to-proceed stage through a subsequent fee-for-service agreement and secure the right of first refusal to act as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction provider, it stated.Additionally, PowerBank said it will assist in exploring a potential 18-megawatt BESS project in Hamilton, Ontario.
