Next Hydrogen Collaborating With Fusion Fuel Cycles to Build Electrolysers For Fusion Industry
Next Hydrogen Solutions (NXH.V) is collaborating with Fusion Fuel Cycles (FFC) to demonstrate purpose-built electrolysers for the fusion industry, the company said on Monday. This partnership builds on two contracts worth C$3.75 million that FFC, a joint venture between Koyto Fusioneering and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, awarded to Next Hydrogen last March.Next Hydrogen will engineer and deliver an electrolyser to extract tritium, the fuel for fusion, from heavy water. The electrolyser will be integrated into FFC's overall fusion fueling system, a statement said.Fusion is an emerging clean energy sector that is aiming to commercialize nuclear fusion.Next Hydrogen shares were last seen unchanged at C$0.51, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
