Quess Returns to Consolidated Net Profit in Fiscal Q4; Shares Jump 11%
Quess Corp (NSE:QUESS, BOM:539978) posted an attributable consolidated net profit of 641.4 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter, compared with a consolidated loss of 954.9 million rupees a year ago, according to a Monday filing by the business services provider.Shares of the company jumped nearly 11% in Tuesday's trade.Earnings per share during the quarter ended March 31 stood at 4.29 rupees, compared with a loss per share of 6.42 rupees a year earlier.Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 increased to 38.9 billion rupees from 36.6 billion rupees a year earlier.The company's board recommended a special interim dividend of 3 rupees per share, payable to shareholders of record on May 8, according to the filing. The board also recommended a final dividend of 3 rupees per share for the financial year ended March 31.
