Delta Corp.'s Consolidated Net Profit Plummets in Fiscal Q4; Shares Jump 12%

Delta Corp (NSE:DELTACORP, BOM:532848) posted a sharp decline in its consolidated attributable net profit to 164.5 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 from 1.65 billion rupees a year ago.Earnings per share slipped to 0.61 rupees compared with 6.15 rupees a year earlier, according to a Wednesday filing to the stock exchanges by the gaming and real estate company.Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 declined to 1.61 billion rupees from 1.83 billion rupees a year earlier.The board of directors declared a final dividend of 0.50 rupees per equity share.Shares of the company jumped nearly 12% in recent trade.
