Northern Graphite Completes Relocation of Processing Plant in Namibia

Northern Graphite (NGC.V) has relocated its processing plant equipment in Namibia to the Okanjande mine site, marking a key step toward a planned production restart in late 2027.Northern Graphite transported the plant from the former Okorusu site to Okanjande on schedule and without incident, the graphite producer said Tuesday. The relocation removed the need to transport material over long distances, while reducing fuel consumption, operating costs and associated emissions, the company said.Northern Graphite expects the plant to support its plan to supply its planned joint venture BAM facility in Saudi Arabia, which is expected to begin production in 2028."Completing the plant relocation further de-risks the restart strategy and positions Northern to move quickly to support secure graphite supply chains independent of China," CEO Hugues Jacquemin said.
