Mineros to Repurchase Shares in Colombia

Mineros SA (MSA.TO) will commence an offer to repurchase up to C$15 million of its common shares through the Colombian Stock Exchange, the company said late Friday.The offer will commence Monday and end Friday.The repurchase price for each common share will be determined through a book-building mechanism, under which eligible shareholders will indicate the price they are willing to sell a specified number of shares, or their willingness to accept the repurchase price, during the acceptance period.The repurchase price and the maximum amount to be repurchased will be determined by the company based on the structure of the order book and prevailing market conditions at the time of adjudication, Mineros said.The offer will not be made through the Toronto Stock Exchange, as it is not subject to regulation as an "issuer bid" under applicable Canadian securities laws, Mineros said.

Mineros SA (MSA.TO) has secured environmental certification from the Attorney General's Office in Nicaragua for the processing plant and tailings storage facility at the Porvenir operation, the company said Tuesday.The company is currently focused on advancing other permits, including specific forest management and treated wastewater discharge authorizations, to commence construction.Mineros expects to complete submission of forest management authorization documentation by the end of the second quarter, with approvals anticipated by the end of the fourth quarter.Mineros is also evaluating accelerating the project timeline, including potentially commencing detailed engineering, following the "robust" results of a preliminary feasibility study in March.The company plans to provide updated guidance on a construction timeline and capital requirements in late 2026.

Mineros Partners with Vikram Sodhi Center for AI-Enabled Mining

Mineros SA (MSA.TO) has partnered with the Vikram Sodhi Center of Excellence for Enabling Artificial Intelligence in Geological and Mining Systems for AI-enabled mining.The center, established by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, is funded for its first five years through a personal philanthropic donation of about US$1.8 million from Mineros Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.The center is focused on the development of advanced artificial intelligence systems for practical application across the mining value chain.Under the partnership, Mineros will be a key industrial partner for field validation of AI-based solutions, making selected operations in the Bajo Cauca region of Antioquia available under a "Living Laboratory" model.Initial areas of focus include predictive maintenance, metallurgical optimization and real-time operational monitoring. Over time, the collaboration is expected to extend across five integrated verticals: exploration, mine planning, processing, predictive maintenance and ESG analytics.A priority area for Mineros will be the development of ESG analytics capabilities through sensor-based monitoring systems.The partnership also establishes a knowledge corridor between India and Colombia, facilitating the exchange of researchers, engineers and doctoral students while supporting the development of local capabilities in geosciences, AI and high-performance computing.

Mineros' Q1 Gold Equivalent Production Jumps 10% YoY

Mineros S-A (MSA.TO) said Monday that its gold equivalent production increased 10% year over year in the first quarter.The company produced 60,782 gold equivalent ounces in the three months ended March 31, rising from 55,124 ounces produced in the year-ago period.Mineros' gold production rose 7% to 57,850 ounces while silver production surged 109% to 161,766 ounces.The miner attributed that higher production to the 22% output increase at the Hemco property in Nicaragua, where it focused on metallurgical recoveries and expanding throughput.Mineros also operates the Nechi property in Colombia, where normal production is expected to recover in the third quarter after its first-quarter output was slightly lower than average but in line with mining plans."With over 60,000 gold equivalent ounces produced in the quarter, the company is tracking toward the upper end of annual guidance of 213,000 to 233,000 ounces," chief executive Daniel Henao said.
