MiniMed Launches Flex Insulin Pump in US

MiniMed (MMED) launched its Flex insulin pump system in the US, the company said Wednesday.The system is cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration for people aged 7 and older with type 1 diabetes and adults with insulin-requiring type 2 diabetes, MiniMed said.The Flex system is the company's first app-controlled insulin pump and is paired at launch with the Simplera Sync, a disposable continuous glucose monitoring sensor, the company said.Price: $15.14, Change: $+0.44, Percent Change: +2.99%

MiniMed Receives Health Canada License for 780G System Software

MiniMed Group (MMED) said Tuesday that Health Canada has licensed new software for its MiniMed 780G system in Canada.With the authorization, the MiniMed 780G system now offers greater flexibility, combining Meal Detection technology and SmartGuard with both the Guardian 4 and Simplera Sync sensors.Simplera Sync is a disposable, all-in-one sensor that requires no fingersticks with SmartGuard, no overtape, and features a two-step insertion process.
