Ecopro Returns to Profitability in Q2; Sales Down
Ecopro (KOSDAQ:A086520) returned to profitability in the second quarter with net income of 49.2 billion won versus a net loss of 38 billion won a year earlier.The battery manufacturer's sales declined 12% to 820.8 billion won from 931.7 billion won for the three months ended June 30.For the first half, Ecopro posted a 285.7 billion won profit compared with a loss of 48.7 billion won a year ago.Cumulative sales fell 5.7% to 1.639 trillion won from 1.739 trillion won a year earlier.
