Straits Energy Unit, Horizon Shipyard Extend MOU For Smart Shipyard Development
Straits Energy Resources (KLSE:STRAITS) unit Straits CommNet Solutions and Horizon Shipyard Inter Globe (M) have mutually agreed to extend their memorandum of understanding for another 12 months.The MOU is now valid until Aug. 19, 2027, with all other terms remaining unchanged, according to a Wednesday Malaysian bourse filing.The MOU, originally signed on Aug. 20, 2025, provides a framework for the company and Horizon to explore the design, development and deployment of a Smart Shipyard integrating solar power, AI security surveillance, ERP, CRM and advanced drone and AI monitoring systems.
