Malton, Ricloud to Explore AI Compute Centers in Malaysia; Shares Rally 23%
Malton (KLSE:MALTON) signed a memorandum of understanding with Ricloud, an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, to explore the development and promotion of AI compute centers in Malaysia, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.Shares surged 23% in Wednesday's midday trade.The one-year collaboration aims to tap into the growing demand for cloud, data center and AI computing infrastructure.Under the proposed framework, Ricloud will bring in investors, provide technical expertise, and supply NVIDIA-based AI infrastructure, while Malton will support site identification, regulatory approvals and act as the main construction contractor, the filing said.
