EG Industries Unit Bags $242 Million Optical Modules Order
EG Industries (KLSE:EG) unit SMT Technologies secured a confirmed purchase order worth $241.6 million for 800G optical modules and wireless access-related products, according to a Thursday Malaysian bourse filing.The order was awarded by an existing key customer, a global technology firm involved in high-speed optical modules, broadband, and edge computing solutions. It will be delivered in stages over the next 12 months.The contract is expected to contribute positively to earnings and net assets for the financial years ending June 2026 and 2027, the filing said.
