DPS Resources, Hangyue Intelligent Explore Digital Partnership
DPS Resources (KLSE:DPS) unit Shantawood signed a memorandum of understanding with Hangyue Intelligent Electrical to develop a long-term partnership covering data centers, digital energy infrastructure and industrial projects in Malaysia.Under the proposed deal, Hangyue will help bring Chinese companies to colocate at Shantawood's proposed data center in Melaka, Malaysia, with a capacity of up to 89 megawatts.The proposed tenancy period is at least 15 years, with indicative rental rates of $130 to $230 per kilowatt per month, depending on tenant requirements.DPS said the project has secured confirmation of power capacity of up to 89.1 megawatts, and validated water supply. The company has also received support from the Melaka state government.Hangyue will also help connect Chinese companies with investment opportunities in Malaysia and provide digital energy solutions, the filing said.
